Margin rate data
Every rate on the board is in one file: 70 tiers from 14 brokers, each with the broker’s own wording, its schedule date and the page it came from. Free to reuse with credit. Checked 2026-10-24.

The file is rebuilt from the same data as the pages every time the site is built, so the two never disagree. manifest.json lists the current file names, row count and as-of date if you want to fetch it on a schedule.
Two things the file can’t do for you. Brokers outside the comparison (Merrill, J.P. Morgan Self-Directed, moomoo, WellsTrade, TradeStation) aren’t in it, because they don’t publish a full rate for each balance; the rates page says what each one does publish. And Interactive Brokers IBKR Pro and Interactive Brokers IBKR Lite rows are a snapshot: IBKR reprices daily as its benchmark plus the spread in how_set, so add the spread to the live benchmark below for today’s rate.
Columns
| Column | What it holds |
|---|---|
id | Broker id and the tier floor, e.g. ibkr-pro:100000. Unique per row. |
broker_id, broker | Our short id and the broker’s product name. |
balance_from, balance_to | The debit balance the tier covers, in dollars. Empty balance_to means no upper limit. |
rate_percent | Annual margin rate as the broker prints it, in percent. |
how_set | The broker’s own wording for how the rate is set, e.g. "Base Rate + 1.825%" or "BM + 1%". Empty when the broker prints only the rate. |
charged_on | "whole balance" (the tier rate applies to all of it) or "slice of the balance in this tier" (IBKR Pro blends tiers). |
base_name, base_percent, base_as_of | The base rate or benchmark the schedule is built on, and the date it applies to. Empty when the broker names none. |
schedule_date | The date printed on the broker’s schedule. Empty when the broker prints no date. |
checked | The day we last compared the row with the broker’s page. |
live_series | IBKR_USD for rows priced as IBKR’s benchmark plus a spread; the current benchmark is at /api/live. |
source_url | The broker page or fee schedule the row was copied from. |
Live benchmark API
GET https://stockmarket.loans/api/live?ids=IBKR_USD,FF_UPPER,FF_LOWER,SOFR,EFFR returns the newest reading of each series as JSON,
with its date, the reading a week and a month earlier, a freshness status (fresh, stale, dead or empty), and the
publisher and source link. Add &history=60 for the last 60 readings. It’s open to other sites
(CORS) and cached for 15 minutes.
IBKR_USD: Interactive Brokers’ USD reference benchmark, the base of every IBKR margin tier.FF_UPPER,FF_LOWER: the Federal Reserve’s target range for fed funds, which Robinhood, M1 and SoFi price off.SOFR,EFFR: the New York Fed’s secured overnight financing rate and effective fed funds rate.
The pages use the same endpoint. Each rate on the site keeps its build-time value and date, and IBKR’s rates are recomputed in your browser only when the API has a newer benchmark than the page.
